In conversation with Pia Appaa, Great Salt Lake, Our stories are our bodies is a collection of poetry reclaiming the divine self, awakening the feminine, and embracing the knowledge of the body as a transformational entity in ceremony with the natural world. Prayers to a sacred waterbody in peril, these poems and cyanotype photographs are offerings of devotion for a watershed holding human and beyond-human beings in an ecosystem exploited by our capitalist society. These words are a reclamation of soul and body, finding strength, belonging, and personal magic in the in-between of earth and sky.
